East German Strichtarn Camo Summerweight Field Shirt
Strichtarn camouflage pattern also called the rain drop pattern, was adopted in 1965 by the East German People's Army. Based on earlier German camouflage designs Strichtarn was designed for concealment in various environments in Germany and surrounding countries, particularly forests and urban settings. The pattern's vertical lines (rain drops) were designed to break up the soldier's silhouette. Used until the reunification of Germany in 1990 this pattern has become an icon in the modern surplus era.
This shirt features two button chest pockets, two front slash pockets, button front, button cuffs, and pockets located on sleeves with buttons.
