Surplus Condition Guide
Military surplus comes in all shapes and conditions, we try our best to sort through and grade each item we sell. While we try to catch everything, We may have some that we missed and we encourage you to reach out to us at colesarmysurplus.business@gmail.com
There is no official grading chart when it comes to military surplus and each store does have it's own grading chart. Here is our grading chart to help you understand how we grade our military surplus. Please note these are military surplus with some being over 70 years old so unless they are mark unissued/new there will be some sort of wear.

Unissued
Unissued gear will be in new condition like it has never been used. It may or may not come with tags/original packaging. -
Used: Excellent/Like new
Excellent/Like new are products that are nearly brand new but either we can't verify that they are new or they show extremely light wear. -
Used: Very Good
Very Good conditioned surplus has some obvious signs of use but still have a lot of life left in them. They will be in full functioning order, but may have light fading, scuffs, or personal mark (names, unit numbers, etc.) not visible with normal wear. -
Used: Good
Good condition surplus will be fully functional but will show considerable signs of wear such as fading, repairs, markings visible with normal wear, small stains. -
Used: Fair
The item is well used. May have significant fading, medium stains, marks, small holes
still usable and some life left in this item. -
Used: Grade 2
Grade 2 surplus is the lowest grade and will often be missing functional item (buttons, zippers, etc.) or have tears or large repairs.
